  8. I am grateful to Ms Deepa for providing such a wonderful website for airing problems & grievances of defence personnel as well as displaying copy of importnat circulation/SAIs meant for these people. It is difficult for these nomadic people spread at length & breadth of this sub-continent to get copy of govt, order sconcerning them.

Govt. has issued clarification on Col(TS) scale for AMC Doctors. Similars clarifications are needed for MNS officers for their TS promotions.

  9. It surprised me to know there is only one office named CDA(O), Pune to disburse pay & allownces to 43,000 Army officers working all over India. These officers can not physically chek whether their payments/claims are made correctly or not. officials of CDA might takng these army personnel for ride or adopting corrupt practices.

This might one of several reasons why meritorius people do not join Indian Army.

  10. There is not a single IIT student in defence Engineering service for last almost 35 years.

Defence Ministry should think over it. Also examine what kind of engineer then join in defence forces and why therefore poor maintenance of defence aircrafts leading frequent mishaps.

Since defence engineers are in group a services they should be recruited through UPSC. As of now they are selected by defence forces it self. That is why this service has become a hereditary services with mediocre people.

  11. In Indian defence Forces engineering & Medical Colleges teachers are called professors without Ph Ds. These teachers are uniformed defence personnel. So one need not imagine what quality of doctors & engineers come from such institutes. Thsese students will serve defence forces and also some of them would be professors of these institites.

Govt. should take over such institues and open to all. Otherwise third grade Doctors & engineers will continue to come out of these institutes and provide such services in indian defence services. secondly students for these institutes should be selected from IIT or AIEEE merit lists.

Even in CDS/IMA selections, UPSC only conducts written tests and the rest is left at the mercy of Defence services for final selections. Here also nepotism plays major role and new generation defence service applicants are rejected on frivilous grounds. Or invitations lettrs are not sent at all but office record shows that it was done. UPSC should involve itself upto final selections.

  12. There was TV reports few months back that Air Force personnel are being selected at Hyderabad & bangalore at a premium of Rs. 3,00,000/- per candidate.

Now reports are coming from Punjab & rajasthan that Army recruts are paying Rs 1,00,00/- for entry into services. This practice is going on for last 9 years.

Few years back it came to the news that CRPF personnel are being selected in Rajasthan a cost of Rs 70,000/- per candidate. they are transferred to other parts of India. And again the same selection process starts in rajasthan as the well organised syndicate of bribe taking infrastructure has been buit up there.

Few years back Army was rated the most coorup organisatin leaving behind Food Corporation of India at no. 2

Few months back everybody in Delhi heard about the corrupt lottery of housing allotments by Delhi development Authority.

Now we all are hearing that there are 40,000 non-existant employees of Delhi Municipal Corporation drawing salary every month.

    what is this India!

  13. OVER 6,500 DEFENCE OFFICERS HAVE SOUGHT PREMATURE RETIREMENT

As many as 6593 officers had sought premature retirement, in the last five years, from their respective forces viz. the army, the air force and the navy. They include 4,300 officers from the army, 1,177 officers from the air force and 1,096 officers from the navy. What could be the reason? GoI should think over it.

Only pay is not the criterion to be in defense forces. Frequent transfers leading to nomadic life, antiquated Army Act, long separation from family, disgraceful mess life of married people, disturbance of children’s education due to transfers might be some of the reasons.

If you dont have any knowledge, dont speak...

What you say may be true about engineering as the Armed Forces have at least 6 engineering colleges and none of them train good quality engineers. None of these colleges rank in top 50 even. The defence engineers are at most M. Tech. PhD is just too big for their mind. But that doesnt necessarily mean they are of bad quality. Well if the anonymous is an engineer or at least have some knowledge about engineering or the army, should he say as much...
    THE BIG PICTURE
The Armed Forces Doctors are one of the best in India. Armed Forces Medical College is ranked amongst the top 5 medical colleges in the country and the alumni are placed at respectable positions all over the world. The entrance examination is much tougher than IITs ar shall I say even IIMs as there are only 130 seats. IITs have around 14000 and IIMs around 5000. And PhDs are meant for arts, general sciences and engineering. The Hard Core Medicine has no place for a PhD as degrees in medicine are way bigger than simple PhDs. And still many professors in AFMC are PhDs....The hospitals are state of art and sought after by politicians, ministers, even IAS and allied services...
Read more about the Indian Armed Forces Medical Services anywhere you want ....

    Look before you leap....

  18. now if dental, vetenary, aurvedic, homeopathic and medical specilist joined any central gov job,he/she will be in pay band iv in 2 yrs of service and getting three assured promotion with 10000 gd pay in 13 yrs of service, however in AMC he/she have to wait for 13 yrs to come in pay band iv and only two assured promotion nad 95% will never reached to a 10000 gd pay,i thing now any docotr will try for all service and AMC will be the last choice, its not affect the present AMC docotr morale but affect the good docotr breed in AMC,not the AMC will suffer but all patient will suffer

  19. The so called 'Army' should better listen. The senior staff officers who are no more educated than a 3 year BA or a BSc etc. think of themselves as the mightiest. The fact remains that 60 % Govt employees can't talk of their job exclusivity. Kudos, now they can talk of wide mouthed-ness incompetency restricted to a clerical profile which only they have.

  20. sir what BA ,Bsc,before 1987 ,education required to become army officer or to appear in NDA exam was only 10th pass,so any officer passed out fm NDA or rank brig and above is just 10th pass, they are decided not to give DACP to docotrs

  21. I built Rome,I'll burn it and play violin while it's burning..I am Nero.

Neros are seemingly omnipresent now, specially in our Republic.

We did build an excellent organization, now we are going to ruin it because we are afraid of its excellent status.

One of the best integrated medical facilities on earth,is becoming deficient of its best raw material, that is,its best brains. The process has started.

You can hardly find fresh medical graduates from top medical colleges in the country joining Army for pure passion now a days. You can notice a drastic fall in the number of applicants for departmental permanent commission, which was earlier considered to have the most difficult conversion ratio.Just see statistics.

We have built world class institutes like AFMC,R&R,Ashwani,CHAF Bangalore because we possess the best brains so far and we have taken care of them so far.You can find how many top generals ministers and top bureaucrats taking health care facility in R&R,preferring it to AIIMS or any other hospital abroad.

NOW WE HAVE STARTED DENYING THEM THEIR PLACE,DENIED TO TAKE CARE OF THEM,DENIED TO HONOR THEIR PARITY AND SO IT IS NOT SURPRISING WHY THEY WILL NO BRAINS LEFT,AND NO BRAINS COMING TO CONTINUE THE LEGACY.BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT JUST SAINTS,THEY ALSO HAVE THEIR LITTLE EGO.

Post independence, the career of a doctor in army was just kingsize. 6yrs of ante date seniority, assured promotion to ONE STEP AHEAD than others. The life savers' morale was high.

Seemingly, number of medical graduated in the country has increased manifold.Mushrooming number of private medical colleges,MBBS from Russia,China,Ukraine and other foreign country being the reason.

We have doctor everywhere, but let me remind you,you just cant persuade the best brain to join the forces now because you have denied them their due.

AV Singh Committee I & II didn't take care of them at all.Now 6th Pay Commission's mistreatment:the organization has been hammered badly.

You won't see any more MAMC,KGMC,BJMC,LHMC graduates in army but graduates from some tin-shed private medical medical college or some Chinese MBBS.

All our Army officers, their spouses, their kids, their families will continue to get treatment from some doctors day and night ,but let me assure you,NOT from the best brains.

  22. Whats the use of having PhD Engrs when the bridges built by them come down like packs of cards. Case in example was the collapse of over bridge just ahead of CWG. Army institutes teach technical subjects as well as self respect and sense of responsibility. By the way no cicilian institute can imbibe sense of responsibility in you. Army makes you a complete human being.
So friends, think before you comment.
